DFI Update of Intel Security Vulnerabilities Issue

DFI is aware of the new side-channel analysis vulnerabilities (also known as Meltdown and Spectre), which may allow an attacker to gain unauthorized disclosure of information and obtain sensitive data. We recommend our customers to adopt OS & BIOS updates for malware protection. DFI will release the updates that address these vulnerabilities and continue to closely work with Intel to investigate and mitigate any potential impact to affected products and will update this article frequently.

AVX Completes Its Purchase of Ethertronics, Inc.

FOUNTAIN INN, S.C. - AVX Corporation (NYSE: AVX) today announced that it has completed the purchase of the previously announced acquisition of Ethertronics, Inc., a privately held manufacturer of passive and active antenna systems, for approximately $138.5 million in cash and assumption of $11.5 million of net debt, subject to customary post-closing adjustments based on Ethertronics' actual net debt and actual working capital as of closing.

HARRISBURG, Pa. – January 31, 2018 – TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, and Credo, a leading provider of high performance, mixed-signal semiconductor solutions for the data center, enterprise networking and high performance computing markets, today announced they have teamed up to demonstrate the future of networking technologies. The companies will hold demonstrations of 112Gbps over a chip to module (IO) channel and over a backplane channel at DesignCon 2018. The demonstrations will be unveiled in booth #817 at DesignCon, which takes place in the Santa Clara, CA convention center from January 31 through February 1.
