RNCF Series Precision Thin Film Chip Resistor

Stackpole recently expanded the resistance value ranges of the 0201 chip size of the RNCF Series of precision thin film chip resistors. Resistance values from 49.9 ohm to 33K ohm are now available in tolerances as tight as 0.5% and TCR as low as 25 ppm. With the proliferation of consumer electronics and the desire for smaller, lighter and more portable devices, the 0201 chip size is often necessary. This expansion allows for increased precision for electronics such as instrumentation, test equipment, precision controls, diagnostic equipment, and medical electronics.

Stackpole Introduces the RTAN Series Precision Thin Film Tantalum Nitride Chip Resistors

Stackpole Electronics, Inc. announces the release of their new RTAN series chip resistors. The AEC qualified RTAN is a Tantalum Nitride precision thin film resistor that is impervious to moisture corrosion. This type of thin film technology passes biased humidity testing at 85°C, 85% relative humidity, and 10% rated power for more than 1000 hours with very little shift in resistance. In addition, the materials and design are such that the RTAN is resistant to sulfur contamination and will pass the industry standard sulfur test ASTM B809-65 with minimal resistance shift.

Stackpole's MELF Resistors Offer Lower Thermal Resistance

Stackpole's MLF / MLFM is a series of metal film, surface mount MELF resistors. The MELF technology provides cooler operating temperatures than flat chip resistors at full rated power. For example, the MLFM1 will typically run more than 70°C cooler than the equivalent 1W 2512 size flat chip resistor and has a smaller footprint. The cool operating performance is possible due to the cylindrical shape and solderable end caps of the MLF / MLFM.
